Funds contributed by school children throughout the United States, Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands paid for this beautiful fountain in the plaza in front of the United Nations Secretariat Building. The gift was made as a gesture of friendship to children over the world and as a reminder of hope for peace through the United Nations.
