Mrs. Pearl (Banineau) Farmer, 30, above, formerly of Waterbury, Conn., was found dead in her Lawrence, Mass., lodging house room, October 16. Associate Medical Examiner Paul G. Oscar said the bruises found on the body were "consistent with being hit" and police were operating on the theory that the woman was slain. The woman's partially robed body was found lying on a bed. She suffered bruises on the face and breast.
