This year's corn crop grown by William Carr Lentz of Utica, Ind., who won the national championship as the country's best corn producer last year, is well above his head but 110-degree heat and no rain make it good for little more than fodder. Lentz shows his son how drought and heat have withered the tassels. "It won't pollinate," the farmer explained.
