For Immediate Release. Mr. Harry Scheft, President, H. Scheft Company, 150 Lincoln St., Boston, will receive the “Brand Name Retailer of the Year” plaque which Henry E. Abt, President of Brand Names Foundation, Inc., (center) is showing “Your Show of Shows” television stars Sid Caesar, Gloria Stevens of The Hamilton Trio, and director-producer Max Liebman. The H. Scheft Company won the top award in the shoe store class from 6,000 entries in the Foundation’s 4th annual national competition. The presentation is to be made on April 16 at the Brand Names Day dinner at the Waldorf-Astoria, New York City, before more than 2,000 civic and business leaders. Sid Caesar, Imogene Coca, and The Hamilton Trio, will headline the entertainment at the dinner. James A. Farley, Chairman of the Board of The Coca-Cola Export Corporation, and former Postmaster general of the United States, is to be the keynote speaker.
