For Ecology's Sake. "It feels good," says Rowland Stebbins III of sitting up in the cab of one of his own garbage trucks in Monroe, N.Y. Since July 1971 he's been working on a long-term scheme to recycle garbage, as cooperator of C & D Garbage Removal. A Yale and Harvard Law graduate, he used to practice law with a Wall Street firm. Then he began to question the value of what he was really adding to society, and became interested in environmental problems.
