Near Miss--John Mooney, right, of New York accidentally runs his blunted foil through the clothing of the Rev. Patrick O’Donnell, a Roman Catholic priest from Cincinnati, O., during the U.S. National Fencing Championships in Los Angeles this week. Father O’Donnell was only scratched and went on to win the match. The tournament was won by Lawrence Anastasi of Philadelphia.
