Flooded streets in the Baldwin Hills area are shown here late 12/14 after the Baldwin Hills Reservoir Dam burst throwing millions of gallons of water into this heavily-populated residential area. At least 50 homes were reported destroyed in the first few minutes. Helicopters from the police and fire departments and from the Coast Guard Air-Sea Rescue Service flew shuttle flights picking up stranded residents.
