Jalapa, Mexico: Hortensia Gomez Juan, 10, and her four-pound, seven-ounce son, who was born here 9/17, rest in bed. Doctors said that Hortensia, who calls the child 'my new doll,' is believed to be currently the world's youngest mother. Police said a wealthy neighbor, to whom the girl had been sent several months ago to be a servant, had been arrested on charges of child violation. Both mother and baby, born in a normal birth, are doing fine.
