2nd Lt. Mary C. Niflis USMCR, shown above, faces a general court-martial on charges of conduct unfitting an officer by having sexual intercourse with eight male enlisted personnel. Her mother, Jean C. Rickard of Southbury, Conn., says the U.S. Marine Corps is practicing sex discrimination because none of the men involved has been charged. Mrs. Rickard has written U.S. Sen. Barry M. Goldwater, R-Ariz. asking him to investigate her daughter's case. Lt. Niflis is stationed at Yuma Marine Corps Air Station in Yuma, Ariz, and is to be court-martialed Nov.12,1975 at El Toro Marine Base in California.
