Hila Hits Coast--Hurricane Hilda’s eye, at 5 p.m., est, was reported by the New Orleans weather bureau to be over the Marsh Island area of Louisiana. Hilda is expected to move northward at about eight miles per hour. Highest winds reported so far over land are 90 miles per hour at Franklin. After the center moves inland Hilda will start weakening slowly.
