Mrs. Alta Holcomb, 47, shown with a police officer after her arrest. She was apprehended after holding a cocked rifle at her estranged husband's head and forcing him to drive her through rush hour traffic to the home of a woman she believed had stolen her affections. Mrs. Holcomb told the police that she had planned to kill her rival, but police grabbed her before she could carry out her plan. The reluctant driver was Robert L. Holcomb, 46, who told the police that he had left his wife last April.
