Gulfport, Miss. -- Ships Beached in Wake of Camille -- Three large freighter in the Gulfport area were washed ashore during the night as hurricane Camille stuck the Mississippi coast with 150 mile an hour winds and left the coast in shambles.

Howe, Okla. - Devastation - In 10 Seconds - This is a section of Howe, southeastern Oklahoma community of 500 where a Friday night tornado lasting only 10 second destroyed 30 homes and killed at least nine persons. At left center are the ruins of one of three churches in the twister's path. To the right of it is a tent set up for emergency persons after the storm. Four died when the tornado hit the nearby village of Reichert.
