Hickman Receives First Aid After Beaning--Jim Hickman, New York Mets outfielder, receives first aid from trainer Gus Mauch after he was struck in the head by a pitched ball in game with the Chicago White Sox in Sarasota today. Ray Herbert, White Sox pitcher, was on the mound at the time. Hickman was rushed to hospital but x-rays were reported as negative with the player being allowed to travel back to St. Petersburg with the team.
