Joseph Murphy, 34, wears a grim expression at Nassau County police headquarters here today after police said he confessed strangling his wife, Diane, 32,in their nearby Hempstead home. Police said Murphy confessed killing his wife after brooding over suspicions that she had been unfaithful then took their four children to his mother's home before giving himself up voluntarily.
