San Francisco--Man identified as Claire Van Horn, right, 46, of London, Ontario, Canada, stands in city prison today with Menlo Park, Calif., Police Chief George Potter after the former, police said, walked into a police station with blood on his hands and said: "I'm the one who hit the woman over the head with a hammer in Menlo Park." His niece, Mrs. Nancy McLennan, 27, died in Sequoia Hospital at Redwood City after being struck on the head four or five times and stabbed at least three times in the chest.
