Shore and sea with a high horizon, near which is a sailing boat, drawn from a promenade on the cliffs, breakwater of masonry and wood extends from the right far up the plate. In the foreground, to the left, lies a rowing-boat, and three men, a child and a dog walk on the beach. Before the plate has been slightly cut on the left, before the man standing on the groyne near the right edge of the print has been effaced, but with the signature added.
