Mrs. Elaine Mears, 23, of Flushing, Long Island, N.Y., screams at cameramen as she is brought into Federal Building for hearing in alleged attempt to rob a bank in Philadelphia today. Police said she walked into the North Philadelphia branch of the Central Penn National Bank and handed a note to the teller: "Hand over the money." The note mentioned she carried a gun in her handbag. The teller handed the note to a bank guard who seized the young woman. She had no gun. U.S. Commissioner Edward Furia continued hearing until later tonight when woman's husband arrives from New York.
