Fred (Babe) Connors, 62, is shown in Ridgewood Felony Court, Queens, today. He is being held by the police for questioning in connection with the death of Edward Trudeau, 69, who police believe hails from a prominent and wealthy Boston family. Trudeau and Connors were two professional panhandlers, who had a smooth-working mooching technique which would net them about $20 to $25 daily, for just a few hours work. Connors would pose as a blind man and Trudeau would lead him from one tavern to another mooching handouts. Police say Trudeau was pushed or fell under a subway train last night.
