Heart recipient William C. Carroll, 50, (C) leaves Methodist Hospital in Houston 1 1/2 for his home in Scottsdale, Ariz. Carroll received his new heart 8/31/68 in historical surgery done by five teams of doctors who took four vital organs from a single donor and transplanted them into four recipients. Seeing Mr. Carroll off are Miss. G. Mansour, R.N. (L) and Dr. Jerri Hacker, M.D. (R).
