Hears death sentence

Houston, Tex. -- Howard B. Stickney, 20-year-old former state highway department technician, remains unmoved as he hears a jury sentence him to the electric chair for the slaying of Mrs. Shirley Barnes last May. Stickney was also charged with the slaying of Mrs. Barnes' husband, Clifford. Stickney fled to Canada and was arrested near Perth, New Brunswick.
