Patricia M. Deuse, who has been designated the first national commander of the Legion of Women Veterans, a new organization which is being formed for women who served in the Army, Navy and Marine Corps during the war. First society of its kind in the United States, the L.W.V., plans to establish posts in all the 48 states within the next few months. The new organization hopes to achieve economic, political and social equality for women veterans.
