Shown seated at her desk in the Brooklyn Municipal Building is Mrs. Patricia M. Deuse, national commander of the Legion of Women Veterans, a new all-woman veterans group, believed to be the first of its kind in America. Mrs. Deuse is an ex-Marine and lives in Astoria, N.Y. she served for 19 months in the women's reserve of the U.S. Marine Corps. Before that she wrote for California newspapers and radio.
