In the picture is the house dated 1847 from Tilișca village, Sibiu county, transferred to the Village Museum in 1936. Seated on a side of the courtyard, it faces the pediment to the street, a position specific to the houses of “Sibiu Testimony,” an area where the main occupation of the inhabitants is the shepherd. The house rises on a stone socket that includes the cellar and is built of fir beams carved in four edges and trapped in straight cloths. The two-water roof with large inclination is “wrapped” with 1.20 m long fir. The ancient architecture of the area is “privarul” - the one-water gazebo. The plan of the house includes two rooms: the clean room and the living room, separated by the kitchen tinda, the loose hearth and bread oven are located here. The access to the interior of the household is through a gate with notched pillars, made of oak wood, protected by a two-water roof, with shingle covers, dated 1829.
