In the picture is “The Archondaric,” the building that has served since the opening of the museum in 1936 as a space for temporary exhibitions, directors' offices, specialized bookstore and store that markets contemporary folk art objects. Raised at first from the plank and marauflated canvas according to the plans of the architect Popișteanu, inspired by the root religious architecture, becomes after 1949, slightly modified, the place through which access to the museum and administrative space is made. It returns to its original appearance, which it still holds today, in 1963.
