About 400,000 barrels of Cape Cod Cranberries are harvested yearly. The cranberry bogs are dry when the pickers start to crawl over them with their half-bushel scoops which are capable of scooping-up four bushels an hour. Few berries pick as easily. Most of the crop is canned in the form of juice or sauce and shipped all over the world.
