Grim Route A tortuous mountain road leads to clandestine heroin producing laboratory near Marseilles, France. It is 3,925 miles from the dope addicts of 117th Street in Harlem. But it is a link in the chain of drug traffic and "France is a key to the thing," says the head of a 20-agent team of the U.S. Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs operating out of Paris. In and around Marseilles morphine from Turkey is processed into 80 per cent of the heroin finally used in the U.S.
