First On-Location Photo--This offshore drilling rig called the "Vinegarroon" is shown on location 12 miles off shore in the Gulf of Mexico. The unit built by R.G. LeTourneau, Inc., Longview, Tex., for the Zapata Off-Shore Co. of Houston, Tex., at a cost of $3,250,000 is capable of drilling to depths in excess of 20,000 feet, in waters up to 100 feet deep.
