Doodling Test. Doodling has become a scientific means of testing mental soundness, nerves and sanity, and the new technique has been developed by Dr. Emilio Mira, formerly chief psychiatrist of the republican army of Spain, now in this country. The testee, whose eyes are screened from the paper he's working on, moves both hands simultaneously, working on a uniform design. This right angle, or staircase side view, denotes the testee is completely insane. The zigzags lost their shape, and left and right hands converged to write over one another. The neat zigzags at very bottom show what the doodler was trying to draw
