From "War Memories" catalog: Here is where the battle raged hottest in June, 1862. In the rear of the battery of howitzers which is seen in the foreground, can be seen the left of Sickle's brigade in line of battle. Near the twin houses, seen still further in the rear, the bodies of over 400 Union soldiers were buried after the battle.
