The green corn dance

A featured spectacular dance included in the "Trail of Tears," famous drama of the Cherokees, presented each summer in a beautiful theatre at Tsa-La-Gi. The dance is a ceremonial celebration of the ripening of the green corn in which symbolically the Supreme Being is being thanked for his bounty. 4 miles S. and 1 mile E. of Tahlequah, Okla.
