From back of item: Greek Cross or Epiphany service: The Greek Orthodox church, centuries old, with all its beauty of symbolism, retains many of its ecclesiastical and church customs and rites among which is the ever interesting Epiphany or "Greek Cross" ceremony commemorating the baptism of Christ, the descent of the Holy Spirit and the Recovery of the Cross under Constantine. Thousands attend this religious rite which is held annually on January 6th, at 12:00 o'clock, noon.
