A snapshot of nine-year-old Esther Lee Lewis, whose mutilated body was discovered in a dry stream bed a half mile from her home here. under- sheriff john ford of Fresno county, said the girl apparently had been murdered by a maniac. he described her body as "horribly mutilated." the young girl was last seen the day before when she left home to catch a school bus.
