"We see rising above the waves the Dutchman and Senta transfigured." Their eyes are turned away from one another, and Senta's right arm is lifted to a bright light that radiates to the left in the sky. The Dutchman is seen from behind. With her left hand, Senta supports him and carries him with her. The curling of the ship and ropes with a pulley are barely seen at the bottom of the image. (Wagner, The Flying Dutchman, last scene)
