The three Daughters of the Rhine rejoice at having returned to their treasure. In the middle, seen in a fading profile, Flosshilde raises the ring. Her sister, seen in profile, embraces her waist. Her head is thrown back and she looks at the ring. Her hair flutters and is very light in color. Her bust is completely naked and the lower part of her body is lost in the water. On the right, the third undine is half reclining. Her right hand is folded over her breast and she seems to dream. Below her, one sees the body of Hagen which plunges and sinks. In the background, on the left, a large wall of rocks slices the perspective. Beyond, we can see the Walhall burning. (Wagner, Götterdämmerung, final scene)
