On the left a rock. surmounted by a low lighthouse, abuts upon a high and massive wall which supports a road skirting the harbour. The lanterna is seen in the distance beyond the rock. Some sailing vessels are seen indistinctly in the evening light against a bank of clouds. The right lower corner is left blank for a space of about 1 by 3 cm. Before a dozen carved lines, slanting from left to right, in the left half of the sky, and several other long, wavy lines, crossing the original horizontal lines on the right half of the sky, near the top of the plate.
