San Francisco: Evelyn West, the gal whose bust bazooms to 39 1/2 inches, slapped a $100,000 damage suit on movie actress Jane Russell, no mean figure in a leopard skin herself. Miss West, in a suit filed through Att'y Nathan Cohn, charges that the curvaceous Miss Russell swiped her exotic dance routine and plans to use said routine at the Sands Hotel in Las Vegas at $25,000 a week. Evelyn claims she taught the dance to Jane for use only in the motion picture "The French Line," and that Jane agreed, knowing it was "the exclusive & unique property of the plaintiff." The bumps and grinds portrayed by Miss Russell in the movie nearly put the picture on the rocks of permanent censorship. Engaged - Evelyn (Treasure Chest) West, burlesque-queen, announced her engagement to "a man who says I look just as good with my clothes on." He is Gerald "Jerry" Goldsmith, 33, a New Yorker. His parents received the news rather coolly.
