A view of the Giudecca from the lagoon, on a small scale. The church of the Redentore is seen on the left, that of St. Maria della Salute on the right. The house at the extreme left end of the plate is almost white. Near the middle of the plate, 96 mm. from the left and 82 mm from the right end, a tiny mast is suspended in the air. The reflection of the mooring-post in the water does not extend more than 9 mm. below the foot of the post.
