Stark drama in a San Francisco hospital as Dr. Joseph Mandell administers blook plasma in a fight to hold on to the flickering flame of life in the body of Mrs. Theresa Butler who was found "dead" in the bathtub of her home yesterday, an apparent suicide. Pronounced dead, Mrs. Butler was taken to the city morgue, where an assistant corner heard the "corpse" gasp. Mrs. Butler was rushed to the hospital, where she was found to have no pulse, no respiration and no measurable blood pressure. With the administration of oxygen, blood transfusions and artificial respiration, the woman came back from the edge of the grave. At time of writing she was still holding on to life.
