The Campanile of St. Mark's dominates the houses that rise from the Grand Canal. The Doge's Palace Is seen here to the right. A number of sailing boats and gondolas ply upon the water, and the quay in the foreground Is enlivened by numerous figures. Extremely incomplete : only a small portion of the work on either bank of the Canal put in; before the campanile.
