Esther Passed This Way -- Here's the way the paved parking lot near beach at Sakonnet Point looked a few hours after the fury of Hurricane Esther had abated today. Big waves coupled with high tide this morning tossed tons of rocks from seawall into parking area. This was one of the nearest parts of Rhode Island to the "eye" of the hurricane.
