Essex County's largest family lives it up

It was chicken-in-the-rough lunch at Topsfield Fair Tuesday for Mr. and Mrs. Jack Thompson and their 16 children after their selection as Essex County's largest family. The Thompsons have lived in Salem for the past seven years where the 38-year old father, Jack, is a shoe worker. Top award for the family was a $500 check from the Essex Agricultural Society, fair sponsors.
