The shoes - products of New England's second largest industry - were made to order for the Tobin children by Samuel Slosberg, a Boston manufacturer serving on the New England Shoe Market Week committee. Approximately 3000 shoe buyers, salesmen, and manufacturers will come to Boston from all parts of the United States, Canada, and Latin America during Shoe Market Week to view the styles being shown at the Statler, Copley-Plaza, and Touraine Hotels and in salesrooms of the Boston shoe district.
