Hadley Area Worst Hit in Massachusetts Flood The main railroad line between Hadley and Northampton, Mass., showing the tracks washed off the road bed and thrown with driftwood and trees that were washed down the river during the height of the recent flood which was the worst in the history of the section. Telephone workmen lay emergency lines through the wreckage. The Hadley area was the most badly damaged section in the state.
