A view of the Thames (reversed) with the Embankment in the foreground, drawn from windows of No. 8 Adelphi Terrace. From left to right we see the Charing Cross Railway Bridge, Lion Brewery, Shot Tower, Waterloo Bridge, and several chimneys and spires. In the foreground, towards the right is Cleopatra's Needle, partly hidden by a tree. There is a tall chimney 13 mm. to left of Cleopatra's Needle. There are no reflections under the boats except a few lines beneath the sail.
