Gift of Life -- Fredi C. Everman, the nation's longest surviving heart transplant recipient, arranges Christmas decorations yesterday in his suburban Arlington, Va., home. He underwent surgery July 20 at St. Luke's episcopal Hospital, Houston, Tex., where the heart of a 33-year-old woman was transplanted into his chest. Surgeons led by Dr. Denton A. Cooley performed the operation.
