Erica (ricky) sayers, 11; shown at left in a portrait, lost the keys to her apartment while jumping rope and a 13-year-old neighborhood boy returned them to her and stabbed her to death in a quarrel that ensued, police said here 6/22. the girl's body was found in the bathroom of her apartment by her step-father, kim halpern, 36, a newspaper lithographer, when he returned home from work early 6/22. At right, halpern and the girl's mother, gabrielle, 34, who works as a model, leave a police station here 6/22.
