Getting an Earful-- Branch Rickey (right), president of the Brooklyn Dodgers, gets in close as he talks with Fred Saigh, St. Louis Cardinals president, at the Dodgers' pennant dinner here last night. Rickey said he's after at least one experienced pitcher. "The Cardinals have more pitchers then they can use," he declared in an interview. "By making a trade with us, perhaps they'll strengthen themselves against the rest of the league. That's the thing a team must do to win.
