Free To Ski Again Released from Nazi custody after almost a year, Hannes Schneider, internationally known Austrian ski expert, arrived from Germany Feb. 9 in New York, bringing his wife and two children aboard the Queen Mary to start his career anew. Schneider was removed from his St. Anton ski school after the Anschluss last March because of his outspoken criticism of the Nazi regime. He said he would go to the Eastern Slopes ski school at North Conway N.H. Schneider is shown with his wife, his son, Herbert, 18, and his daughter, Herta, 17.
