Engravers Picket Newspaper--Striking members of the New York Photo Engravers Union No. 1 set up a picket line in front of the New York Daily News building here today as the walkout, which crippled three afternoon papers, became effective. Several metropolitan morning papers face similar fates as members of other newspaper unions refused to cross the picket lines set up by the engravers, who make the metal plates by which pictures are reproduced on newsprint.
