Photograph was published in the Boston Globe on Monday, October 5, 1903. Shows fans on the field before game three on October 3, 1903. The fans had broken through a rope barrier designed to keep the standing room crowd deep in the outfield and are seen ringing the infield. Police wielding bats and rubber hoses beat the crowd back. Special rules during the game had flyballs hit in the crowd counted as ground-rule doubles.
